What to Bring

Everything you need! Laptop, charger, a second screen, comfy clothes, your favourite pen and notebook.

Bring along copies of any resource materials you might need to achieve your writing goals. Printing is not available at the venue.

Tables and chairs are provided in communal writing spaces. Or read on the couch in the lounge. Standing desks are not provided.

You're welcome to bring your favourite writing snacks and drinks and store them in the communal kitchen/fridge.

Bed linen and towels are provided by Seaview Guest House.

Price: $650 AUD

  • Partially catered: breakfast & lunch included (Provide your own dinners: supermarket located within walking distance / full use of commercial kitchen)

Program

We offer a largely unstructured program, allowing you to focus on your writing goals at your own pace.

DAY 1: MONDAY

  • 10-12: Check into Seaview Guest House (participants to make their own way to the venue)

  • 12.30: Welcome lunch*, introductions and retreat overview. Note. breakfast and lunch times are fixed due to catering requirements.

  • 2: Unstructured writing time

  • Dinner**: venture into town for a meal, or grab some groceries and use the commercial kitchen

  • 7+: After dark writing time - for those who want to power through the evening. Alternatively, explore the town, share a drink with new friends, or relax in your room.

DAYS 2 & 3: TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY

  • 8-9: Breakfast*

  • 9: Writing time

  • 12-1: Lunch*

  • 1-6: Writing time

  • Dinner**

  • 7+: After dark writing session or individual time

DAY 4: THURSDAY

  • 8-9: Breakfast*

  • 9: Writing time

  • 12-1: Lunch*

  • 1.30: Wrap up and debrief

  • 3: Check out

* Breakfast, lunch and all-day tea and coffee are included in the registration fee.

Breakfasts include: fruit, yogurt, muesli/porridge/cereal, croissants/toast/muffins, cheese/ham, assortment of spreads, juices/milks/tea and coffee.
Lunch includes: alternated each day – soup, lasagne, quiche served with salad + desert.

** Dinners organised by participants. Dinners are not provided. Restaurants are available in town, or stock up at the local supermarket and use the commercial kitchen to prepare your meal.

We are able to cater for vegetarians, but unfortunately other dietary requirements will need to be met by the participant. There is a commercial kitchen at the venue for your to prepare food if you wish. A supermarket is located within easy walking distance.

*CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 14+ days prior to the retreat start date = no charge, payment refunded.

  • 7 – 13 days prior to the retreat start date = 50% charge

  • 1 – 7 days before the start date = 75% charge

  • Cancellation on the day of the retreat or after arrival = 100% charge
